He is an entrepreneur and social entrepreneur. He is the Managing Director of SIEW Technologies, an electrical and electronics engineering company he established in 2012. In 2017, he established ‘Fix Your gadgets’. The only one of its kind, this Coimbatore startup repairs most electronic gadgets including smartphones, laptops, tablets and TVs. This service encourages repairs rather than replacement, and works to reduce the massive problem of E-waste.

The same year, Mr Alaknanda established the NGO, So Aware. It aims to create social awareness for environmental and social issues with innovative projects, such as the ‘SEED GANESHA’ to eradicate usage of POP and toxic material in Ganesh Idols.
Mr Swarajit Alakananda is a trekker, swimmer, and calls himself a lonely traveller.
