They are the founders of Nexus Power, a startup that builds lithium-free, biodegradable electric vehicle batteries from crop residue. Nexus Power is inspired by the concepts of industrial ecology and bio-mimicry. The enterprise is speeding up the process of EV adaptation and facilitating massive growth in the agricultural industry too.

Nishita and Nikita have been awarded multiple times. They were girls featured in Forbes 30 Under 30, Entrepreneur magazine’s “Shepreneur – Women to Watch”, Vogue India’s “Women at the workplace” special edition, MG motors & The better India’s “Change Makers – Season 3” and PMI’s “Global Future 50” to name a few. The pair has also been felicitated by the Governor of Odisha for their innovative work and contribution towards the Startup ecosystem in the state.
