He is the Founder of Phool, a social enterprise that has pioneered ‘flowercycling’ technologies to upcycle the vast quantities of flower temple-waste in India.

Awarded the Fast company world changing ideas and recognized by Forbes, Fortune, and the Stanford Social Review, Phool is driving systematic change by creating sustainable employment opportunities and revolutionizing the way India handles its ‘million-ton temple waste disposal’.In 2021, Phool was honoured with the BIRAC Innovator Award 2021 for making ‘Fleather’, a bio-alternative to animal leather.

Mr Agarwal was named a Queens young leader in 2017 and is both, an Echoing Green and Acumen Fellow. Among his many awards are the Takeda Young Global Entrepreneur Award, the Unilever Young Entrepreneur Awards, and The GSG Millennial Honor.

Ankit Agarwal is a UN Young Leader for SDGs and on the Forbes 30 under 30 list.
